Haryana arts and crafts are one of the major modes of income for the rural people of the state. Thus, they play an important role in governing the economy of the state of Haryana. Haryana arts and crafts mainly include pottery, embroidery and weaving, phulkari, chope, durries, bagh, leather craft, jewellery making, cane and bamboo craft, metal ware, floor coverings, wood and bone carving, paintings and sculptures. Most of these are essentially village handicrafts. The villages of Haryana are most famous for their woven works. The Haryana shawl, an offshoot of the Kashmiri style of work, is a magnificent piece of art. Bright and brilliant colours form an essential part of the arts and crafts of Haryana.

Folk Art of Haryana : Sanjhi

On the first day of Ashwin-Shukla Pratipada, the young girls and village women adore their walls of the house with images of Goddess Sanjhi.

The image is made with clay and cowdung on walls. It is decorated with using different colours and ornaments.

Earthen lamps are lightened and songs are sung during the night in praise of Sanjhi.

This beautiful rural art form is mainly found in Jat villages of Haryana.

Hemu had initially been winning, but after a series of events, including a lucky shot that struck Hemu in the eye, Akbar's forces defeated the Afghan army. This battle solidified Akbar's rule and began the expansion of the Mughal Empire across the Indian subcontinent.

3. The Third Battle of Panipat (1761):

Perhaps the most well-known, this battle was fought between the Maratha Empire and the Durrani Empire (Afghans) under Ahmad Shah Durrani.
